Da Lat Flower Festival 2005 to bloom in December

The Lam Dong provincial People’s Committee decided on Tuesday to hold the the Da Lat Flower Festival 2005 for nine days and nights.

The festival, which will take place in Da Lat from December 10-18, will focus on two major programmes. Its centrepiece will be a six-part carnival including a flower fair called "Colours of Da Lat Flowers", an art park under the theme of "Legends of the Central Highlands", trade and tourism fairs, art performances, a special film week and topiary events. The festival will also showcase vans filled with flowers, a spectacular opening ceremony, a Lang Bian climbing contest, love carnival, Da Lat wine carnival and an impressive grand closing ceremony.
